Cooking Made Easy
Cooking made easy is a series that is designed to make cooking easy with a highlight on tips. kitchen tools and recipes. Whether you have Chronic Illness, a disability or are just looking for ways to make cooking easier, there is something in this series for you! The first recipe is one of my family’s favorites and is possibly the easiest one I make! Let’s make Slow Cooker Italian Chicken and Potatoes!
I am known by my family and friends as the “Crock Pot Queen”. Why? Because I have 6 of them in varying sizes and there has been times when I have had 3-4 going at one time plus my rice cooker. Nothing is better than coming home from work or church and having the smell of food meeting you at the door. Just plate up the food and enjoy!
Chronic Illness Tips
I know that my Chronic Illness makes many tasks at home even harder. Cooking isn’t an exception to this. One thing about this recipe is that everything is stirred and cooked in the slow cooker. This allows for minimal clean up.
Chronic Illness doesn’t have to hold you back from putting a delicious meal on the table! With 5-10 minutes of prep time, Slow Cooker Italian Chicken and Potatoes is perfectly easy!
Tools I used:
When purchasing a slow cooker think about what you want to cook and what your purpose is.
This one is a good size at 6 quarts so there are leftovers for the next day. This one also has the locking lid so I can take it to potlucks or parties. The digital display is easy to use and include a delay cook feature that is handy.
If your purpose is to have enough food to freeze the leftovers or if you have a large family, an 8 quart slow cooker may fit your needs better
