June 2018 was an amazing month for the blog and on social media.

My goal for June was to have 1500 views on my blog, 300 followers on Twitter, 300 on Pinterest and 200 on Instagram. I am amazed at the numbers because those goals were blown out of the water! I am not going to list them all but the one I am most proud of are my blog views.

BLOG VIEWS: 5,946❗

I am sincerely thankful to everyone who has dropped by and left comments, shared a post in Twitter or Pinterest! That number is more of a reflection of all of you than it is of me! So thank you!

Looking Ahead

I am not going to set any number goals in July. Numbers are great because it is easy to watch progress but it doesn’t tell the entire picture. My goals for this month are action goals.

  1. I am going to have more of a presence on Google+. From what I have seen already, I think the platform has potential for driving traffic. I already have more traffic from here than Instagram!
  2. Focus more attention on reading other blogs. I tend to do this randomly through the day and it seems like I do a lot of skimming. I want to be more in tune to what I am reading and I want to do a better job with commenting on blogs.  To make this happen, I am setting aside time to read blogs everyday.

July is going to be a great month and I hope to keep my momentum going!

  1. I think these are great aims for July. I’m still relatively new to blogging and whilst I know that the numbers are really important, I’m aware that I need to stay focussed on why I’m writing a blog in the first place. I wish you continued success in July! X

  2. Jen, congratulations on a great month of June. Those view numbers are amazing, and you definitely should take more credit for making it happen! Being creative and inventive and strategic in getting maximum exposure for a blog is no easy feat, and your results show you are amazing at it. I agree numbers aren’t the end goal, but they are definitely a proxy for us bloggers – the more views the more people and lives we may be touching.
I love your blog and can’t wait to see what you have to share in the month of July!

    1. I am just learning it. There are huge Promote your blog communities on there! Do a search for your niche or a topic and click on Communities. Join some groups and share content!

  6. I’m so happy to hear you’re blown your blog view goal out of the water!! That’s awesome!! Your chronic illness post was my favorite out of your posts! I tend to jive with bloggers who are vulnerable with their readers, and are just, real. You know? I love that about you! Here’s to many more months of successful blogging!!

  7. Wow! Congratulations Jen! 💖 It sounds like June was a fantastic month! I hope July is just as awesome. I’ve never thought of using Google+ for blogging. I would be interested to find out how it works. All the best with your goals! ☺️💕 xx

    1. I am still learning Google+ but they have definitely updated it. It is like a mix of Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

I am finding it hard not to look at my numbers though!
