Happy Birthday America! Being a History geek I get to the Holidays, like July 4, that are rich in history and I just want to watch Documentaries. I love learning about the History of America and how we came to be where we are.

So for this blog post, I want to share with you my favorite Documentary Series and my favorite book so you can learn more about the American Revolution. I will follow it off with a beautiful rendition of Out National Anthem by Anthem Lights.

This may not be my most popular post but it is one I am passionate about.

Book: 1776

Author: David McCullough

In this masterful book, David McCullough tells the intensely human story of those who marched with General George Washington in the year of the Declaration of Independence – when the whole American cause was riding on their success, without which all hope for independence would have been dashed and the noble ideals of the Declaration would have amounted to little more than words on paper. – Goodreads

This is an amazing book and if you listen to the audiobook, the author is the narrator. Honestly, David McCullough could read the dictionary and I would hang on every word!
