August went by so fast! The weather will soon start to cool and football season is getting ready to start. Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year. It is that sweet spot between summer and Christmas with all of the homey smells and comfort food that makes me happiest. But before I can move toward fall, I have a few things to celebrate!
August by the Numbers
August was my best month yet for my blog! I stopped setting number goals two months ago because having that hanging over my head was causing me anxiety. Instead, I focused on strategies to drive traffic to my blog, reading and commenting on other blogs and getting involved in some Facebook groups.
Changing my strategy away from the numbers doesn’t in any way mean that I don’t look at them. I just don’t focus on them as the sole measurement of my blog.
So here are my blog numbers for August: (as of 08/30/2018 @ 5:00 pm EST)

Yes, you have read that correctly! I hit 20,000 total views in August! This blows me away because when I started, I wasn’t sure if anyone would want to read what I write.
A Month of Posts
In August, I wrote my first blog series called, How My Mind Became My Enemy. It is a 4 part series that focuses on my mental health history and how I battled back from an incredibly dark place. I also participated in my first Link Up Party by A Chronic Voice, posted some recipes and my monthly book review. It was a very productive month here at The Frozen Mind and I hope that September is just as productive.

It is pretty obvious that it was a busy month but when looking at the numbers it is nice to see that my hard work is starting to pay off!
September will have some opportunities to have some different content and I am excited about that. My husband and I are going on vacation in Washington, DC so there will be posts about our trip, reviews of restaurants and events. I also plan on including information regarding traveling with a chronic illness and accessibility as we travel.
Leave a comment below about what things you have going on in September!
